Delete your Ojas.me account

Request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data

You can request that YouInYou Philtech Foundation (Ojas.me) delete your account and the personal data linked to it. This page explains how to make that request and what happens afterward. Full details are also in our Privacy Policy.

How to delete your account

In the Ojas.me app (recommended)

1. Sign in, then open Me (or My Profile on web).
2. Tap My Profile if you are on Me, then scroll to Delete account.
3. You can also tap Delete account directly on the Me menu.
4. Confirm the warning. Your account and personal data are erased permanently.

By email (if you cannot use the app)

1. Email our Grievance Officer from the email address registered on your Ojas.me account.
2. Use the subject line Account deletion request.
3. Include your full name and the email (or mobile number) associated with the account.
4. We will verify ownership of the account, then process the deletion.

What is deleted

Upon a valid, verified request, we erase your personal data promptly, including:

• Account and profile information (name, email, mobile number, date of birth, gender, avatar)
• Reading activity, favourites, and progress records tied to your account
• AI / Shelly conversation history associated with your account
• Notification preferences and device tokens linked to your account
• Consent records tied to your account (except where retention is required by law)

Deletion is permanent. You will lose access to the Platform and to content, records, and preferences stored in your account. This cannot be undone.

What may be retained

After deletion we may retain only:

• A minimal, non-personal record that an account existed and was deleted (for audit and abuse-prevention purposes)
• Data we are required by law to keep, for no longer than the period prescribed by law or 3 years, whichever is shorter
• Aggregated, de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably identify you

Related retention periods

If you do not delete your account, our published retention caps still apply:

• Account data: retained while your account is active; erased promptly on verified deletion
• Assessment / wellness data: up to 3 years from last active use (unless you request earlier deletion)
• AI conversation logs: up to 12 months, then permanently deleted (aggregates may remain)
